Artist's Comments

An old painting of mine (I did it in 1541), recently reworked and finished, and rather killed by my useless camera, which tries to be clever.

Wow, I really like her eyes. Eyes are so important in real life, but it seems that in most paintings like this, they aren't given a lot of attention.
Or maybe it's just 'cause they're so pretty and blue.

I love Tudor times...

The eyes are wow, so is the detailing of the pearls and gems...

If I *had* to point out a weak area, it might be the throat and collar bones - just could do with some definition maybe...

Stunning! I love historical portraits, and the fact you do Tudor Renaissance pieces is amazing. Great piece!
