On the downside, the "battle" of Poitiers was more of a series of skirmishes against disorganized raiding bands of Moors rather than two united armies facing each-other. Th so called muslim "army" was no force of invasion. And this didn't stop the Moors from continuing to pillage the South of the Regnum Francorum.
